NEW ORLEANS –The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) announced July 25th 2022 that Director of Aviation Kevin Dolliole was elected to serve as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA). ACI-NA is one of the world’s largest airport trade organizations representing more than 300 airports in the US and Canada. Their mission is to advocate policies and provide services that strengthen commercial airports’ ability to serve their passengers, customers and communities.
“As the aviation industry continues to evolve coming out of the pandemic, the decisions that airport leaders make now will impact the industry’s trajectory for years to come,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “I am confident Kevin will bring his experience and expertise to strengthen our organization and industry as we plan our path forward for the years to come.”
“I am honored to be elected to this position and am looking forward to continuing to represent and serve North America’s airports,” said Dolliole. “Working alongside a group of incredibly talented colleagues at ACI-NA to continue advancing key industry priorities, I have no doubt that the airport industry’s brightest days are ahead.”
Dolliole will serve as Vice Chair of ACI-NA for the next 18 months. Following that, he will serve 2 years as Chair and then 2 additional years as Immediate Past Chair. Dolliole has been a member of the the ACI-NA Board of Directors since 2020, and prior to being named Vice Chair, he served as Chair of the US Policy Committee and Chair of the Board Finance Committee.
Dolliole will now have a significant leadership role in the organization as they establish policies around critical issues facing airports today, which is especially important as the aviation industry navigates the impacts of COVID-19 and prepares for historic airport infrastructure investments from the federal government. He also currently serves on the American Association of Airport Executives’ (AAAE) Policy Review Committee—another organization that advocates on behalf of airports at the federal level.
With over 40 years of combined experience in the airline and airport industries, Dolliole has a wealth of aviation knowledge. He has served as Director of Airports at St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Aviation Director at San Antonio International Airport, and previously served in several executive positions at the New Orleans Airport including Acting Director of Aviation before returning as Director of Aviation in 2017.
Under his leadership, MSY was ranked as the number one large airport in North America for customer satisfaction based on J.D. Power’s 2021 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. Dolliole was also selected as Airport Experience News’ 2020 Director of the Year in the Medium Airports Category as well as Biz New Orleans Magazine’s 2019 CEO of the Year.
