Alex Brickner is the Director of Small Business, Innovation, and Research, Alex Brickner at the University of Massachusetts Lowell Applied Research Corporation (“UMLARC”).  Brickner currently represents UMLARC within Association of Defense Communities (ADC) and successfully led a $1.28M proposal to fund a community cyber support facility for the University of Massachusetts Lowell through the Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Program (DCIP).  The facility will support regional cyber incident response near Hanscom Air Force Base.  Prior to joining UMLARC, Brickner founded a company that won over $20M in contracts to facilitate information sharing between the government, military, and private companies at five military installations.  Brickner is a certified public accountant and holds a BS Accounting from the Ohio State University.
