Dr. Ron Martin is a Doctoral Chair and Adjunct Professor at Capitol Technology University, where his work focuses on critical infrastructure, operational technology, and identity, credentialing, and access management (ICAM). He maintains relationships with a diverse mix of businesses and serves on the boards of directors of numerous for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
Dr. Martin retired from the United States Army in 1999 and from the U.S. Government in 2011. Between his tours of federal service, he served for five years as a civilian police officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. During his federal service, he worked with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as program director for the development and implementation of both departments’ ICAM programs.
He is a contributor to the Cloud Security Alliance Zero Trust research committees and is a board-certified Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and IFPO Master Security Instructor (MSI).
Dr. Martin is also a trustee of Nigeria’s African Foundation for System Integration. Through the foundation, he supports the training of a newly formed unit of Nigeria’s Security and Civil Defence Corps focused on protecting critical infrastructure. He also serves on the Computer Information Systems Advisory Boards of Northwestern State University of Louisiana and Tougaloo College.
