Maggie O’Connell

Maggie O’Connell is responsible for managing the physical and cybersecurity, reliability, resilience, and gas/electric interchangeability policy and regulatory efforts for the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. Maggie strives to build industry consensus on cybersecurity, physical security, and emergency response policy issues; enable dialogue within the INGAA membership on security trends and regulations; and represents the INGAA membership before federal agencies and Congress as it relates to security matters. Maggie previously served on the Executive Committee for the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council, and currently participates in several industry security groups, including the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Surface Information Sharing Cell (SISC), InfraGard National Capital Region, and various Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) Working Groups. She also completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Academy training at FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. Maggie holds a B.A. in government and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College, and an M.A. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
