Mr. Stephan provides event-tested knowledge, experience, and leadership in all-hazards risk assessment and management. Throughout his career, he has advised senior leaders and analysts across government and industry on critical infrastructure security and resilience; continuity of operations and business resilience planning; cybersecurity planning; public-private sector partnership development and coordination; and incident management planning, training, and exercises. A retired Air Force Colonel, Mr. Stephan formerly served as an Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, US Department of Homeland Security. His leadership has shaped major initiatives such as the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) and the National Incident Management System, driving improvements in coordination and response for critical events. Mr. Stephan’s work has been instrumental during high-stakes situations, helping organizations navigate complex challenges and enhance their ability to protect vital assets and operations.
