Janine Mason serves as a Program Analyst for the Chemical Sector Management Team (SMT) in the Stakeholder Engagement Division (SED) of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security (CISA). In this role, she collaborates with government, private, and public sector partners to develop guidance, resources, and training that support the security and resilience of our Nation’s critical chemical facilities.
Through the facilitation of strategic, risk management efforts, she supports CISA, as the Chemical Sector Risk Management Agency (SRMA), to carry out and implement key initiatives to include the Cyber Performance Goals (CPGs), Chemical Sector Specific Cyber Performance Goals (SSGs), Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity – Chemical Action Plan, Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS), and emerging technologies.
With over 20 years of Federal Government experience, Janine specializes in physical and cybersecurity, project and operations management, strategic planning, and risk management for critical infrastructure.
Janine is a former U.S. Army Signal Officer, commissioned through ROTC at the University of Tampa, with domestic and global assignments supporting joint, combined, interagency and intergovernmental operations. She served as a Network Systems Administrator, managing communications networks during Operation Iraqi Freedom and handled signal operations and information security in Okinawa, Japan and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
