Clint Ladd has over 20 years of experience in emergency preparedness. He began as the City of Houston’s first Bioterrorism Epidemiologist and then worked in emergency preparedness consulting at Witt O’Brien’s (now Ambipar) for over 11 years. Since 2018, Clint has managed the Texas Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection (a component of the Texas Office of Homeland Security within the Texas Department of Public Safety), where he collaborates with critical infrastructure partners in each of the 16 identified sectors, in order to enhance coordination and information sharing; maintain awareness of threats to critical infrastructure; lead infrastructure data collection and analysis efforts; support infrastructure stakeholders during disasters; and facilitate critical infrastructure risk management activities. In this role Clint coordinates the Texas Infrastructure Liaison Officer Program and two state-level advisory groups (the Texas Critical Infrastructure Protection Task Force and the Private Sector Advisory Council). He also serves on the National Fusion Center Association (NFCA) Private Sector Engagement Committee and the Texas Cybersecurity Council. In 2019 the NFCA recognized Clint with the Michael Schooler Critical Infrastructure Award. Clint has a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Houston School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology/Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin.
