Grant Threatt is a seasoned leader and problem-solver, bringing decades of experience in engineering, project management, and education to his role as Program Manager for Transportation Systems at the Institute for Homeland Security at SHSU. Leveraging his expertise from the aerospace and oilfield industries, he has consistently delivered engineered solutions, provided strategic leadership, and managed complex projects, including leading diverse multinational teams in West Africa and the Middle East. Grant holds an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Sam Houston State University, an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. In addition to his professional experience, Grant has a proven entrepreneurial spirit, contributing to the successful launch of small businesses, and has demonstrated his commitment to public service through leadership roles in the Texas State Guard Medical Brigade.
