Percy Giles

In December 2023, Percy E. Giles III was selected as Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Field Office. In this role, Mr. Giles was responsible for the following Criminal Programs: Violent Incident Crimes-Domestic (VIC-D), Violent Gangs (VG), Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking (CACHT), and the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF). Mr. Giles was additionally responsible for leading SWAT, ERT, SABTs, Special Events, and the Crisis Management Team. In summer 2025, Mr. Giles transitioned in the White-Collar Crimes & National Security Branch, he now oversees the following programs: Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, Cyber, Public Corruption, and Complex Financial Crimes.
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Giles served as the Unit Chief of the Validation Management Unit (VMU) at FBIHQ. In this capacity, Mr. Giles was responsible for ensuring all information collected by CHSs was accurate, authentic, reliable, and free of undisclosed influence. Mr. Giles also served as HOS’ acting Assistant Section Chief (ASC) for ten months. In this capacity, Mr. Giles had direct oversight of FBI’s CHS Program, all aspects of HUMINT operations, and led six HOS units.
Prior to joining the HOS, Mr. Giles served as Albuquerque Field Office’s alternate JTTF Coordinator, WMD and HUMINT Program Coordinator (PCOR). Additionally, Mr. Giles supervised the following programs: Special Agent recruitment Program, Special Agent Bomb Technician Program, Airport Liaison Agent Program (ALA), UTS/Tradecraft Coordinator, Crisis Management Program, and the Private Sector Coordinator (PSC).
Before this assignment, Mr. Giles served as FBI Albuquerque’s PCOR for VIC-D, VG, CACHT programs and supervised the Indian County Program. Under Mr. Giles’ leadership, FBI Albuquerque formed its first Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking FBI Led Task Force.
Prior to serving in FBI Albuquerque, Mr. Giles served in the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) at FBIHQ. Mr. Giles championed multiple national initiatives, strategies and codified VC best practices. During Mr. Giles’ time at VCU, Mr. Giles deployed to FBI Miami to lead the HQ support component during the Parkland mass shooting incident.
In 2011, Mr. Giles began his career with FBI as a Special Agent and was assigned to the Philadelphia Field Office.
Before joining the FBI, Mr. Giles served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer and served one tour in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Giles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Military Science from Virginia State University and holds a Master of Business Administration with a Government Contracting Concentration from Webster University. Mr. Giles is happily married with two kids and is a native of Richmond, Virginia.
